All sessions are run by Table Tennis England qualified coaches who are CBT approved and have first aid training.
Most sessions are limited to 18 participants so please try to arrive early to avoid disappointment. It’s first come, first served. Bats and balls are provided if required.
During school half terms and holidays these sessions do not run as there are training camps running instead. Anyone is welcome to these sessions.
Note: We occasionally hold other events or there are public holidays that mean a coaching session has to be cancelled so please check the calendar on this site to avoid a wasted journey
Alternative days are for invitation only, if your child is good enough to join (seen in sessions that are open to any ability) they will be asked to move to other days. These are marked on the calendar for those that are part of squad or masterclass.

UNDER 11 “PAY AS YOU GO” TUESDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY 5:00PM until 6:00PM
These sessions are designed for children under 11 so that they can learn the basics of table tennis, the rules, techniques and hand-eye coordination skills. No prior knowledge or training in table tennis is required for this session. There are many fun activities that are carried out in the group to ensure enjoyment including fitness exercises.
UNDER 18 “PAY AS YOU GO” TUESDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY 6:00PM until 7:30PM
This session is for all ages of children who have some ability in the game of table tennis, and whilst not expected to have played in a club before, will develop and improve techniques, match play and overall table tennis skills. There are a range of exercises carried out by the coach who will direct the group such as placement drills, serves, all with the aim to improve technique and consistency on the table.
SQAUD (BY INVITATION ONLY) MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY 6:00PM until 7:30PM
If your child is selected to play in these sessions, they will have proved to the coaches in other sessions that they are ready to take on the more competitive nature of table tennis. These children will join the pathway to eventually make the ‘TOP SQAUD’, by learning the intermediate to advanced techniques with a view to ultimately competing at a regional or even a national level. These are strictly twice per week and spaces are limited.
TOP SQUAD (BY INVITATION ONLY) Session Times vary depending on players schedule.
These sessions are for the advanced player who has already competed in national and international competitions. These intense sessions will be aimed specifically for the child to further develop their technique, fitness and overall match play at a top-level competitive standard. These sessions currently include players who have achieved world class status representing the national team. The majority of these players are in the England Hopes Squad and the England Youth Squad programme.
TALENT SQUAD (BY INVITATION ONLY) SATURDAY (9:00AM until 10:00AM and then 11:30AM until 2:00PM) and on SUNDAY from (12:30PM until 2:00PM)
Applicable to the invitation only players, mainly from our junior squads. This session is designed to maximise the number of hours the children play to improve their chances of success.
Adult and Junior Combined Coaching (PAY AS YOU GO)
SATURDAY 10:00AM until 11:30AM & SUNDAY 11:00AM until 12:30AM
For all ages who have some ability in and understand the basics of table tennis. There is no club experienced required however the coaches will ask players to complete a series of drills that are aimed at achieving match play and putting the exercises previously carried out into practice. This session will cater for the needs of all adults and juniors who would like to get to the next level of table tennis. All abilities are welcome
ADULT COACHING (PAY AS YOU GO) WEDNESDAY 10:00AM until 11:30AM
For adults who want to learn the next level of table tennis, training sessions will consist of drills to improve technique and overall control of the ball. With the intention of learning how to play at a higher level. The abilities in this session will be varied and if you have had no experience of coaching before this is not a problem.
ADULT MASTERCLASS (BY INVITATION ONLY) SATURDAY 11:30AM until 1:00PM
Limited to ONLY 8 players in the session, these individuals who are invited to attend this intense training session will develop their game to the next level. It will consist of a series of drills and exercises that will improve awareness of playing at a higher level and due to the numbers being limited there will be more advanced training techniques employed that can due to limited numbers. Players selected for this will have taken part in previous pay as you go sessions and the coach will have specifically invited them to attend the group.
ADULT ADVANCED SESSION (BY INVITATION ONLY) SUNDAY 9:30AM until 11:00AM
These sessions are for the adult player who wishes to take their table tennis into the view of joining the adult master class. These sessions are for players that the coach has invited them to join as they show potential. The session is designed to focus more on advanced drills and techniques.
GENERAL PRACTICE SESSION SATURDAY (1:30PM until 3:30PM)
This drop in session is for anyone interested in playing, families with children are welcome and anyone wishing to bring practice partners also welcome. There is no direct coaching in this session however one of the coaching team will open the club and will be happy to help answer any questions regarding our sessions, equipment needs and so on. Bats and Balls can be borrowed from the bar.
